GATINO, Que. – Senegal’s government accuses Canadian police of “brutally” beating one of its diplomats.

Senegal’s foreign ministry said in a release Friday that a diplomat working at the West African country’s embassy in Ottawa was handcuffed and beaten at his home in Gatineau, Quebec, on August 2.

The police report that the woman did not complain of injuries during the arrest.
