Security forces kill two terrorists in Lakki Marwat – PakistanOUS News

Pakistani army troops killed two terrorists in a firefight in Lakki Marwat district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the army’s media affairs branch said on Friday.

“Army troops observed and engaged the movement of terrorists in the general area of ​​Sheikh Badin Mountains, Lakki Marwat. During the firefight, two terrorists were killed,” Inter-Services said. Public Relations (ISPR).

Weapons and ammunition were also recovered from the slain terrorists, the ISPR said.

The slain terrorists remained actively involved in targeted assassinations and terrorist activities against the security forces.

Earlier on Wednesday, a Pakistani army soldier was martyred after terrorists launched a cross-border attack from Afghanistan against troops stationed in the general area of ​​Dwatoi in North Waziristan district.

The soldier was identified as Sepoy Nazar Muhammad, 34, a resident of Jaffarabad. “Terrorists from inside Afghanistan across the international border opened fire on Pakistani troops in the general area,” an ISPR statement said, adding that Pakistani troops answered in an “appropriate manner”.

“According to credible intelligence reports, due to fire from their own troops, the terrorists suffered heavy casualties,” the statement said.

“Pakistan strongly condemns the use of Afghan soil by terrorists for activities against Pakistan and expects the Afghan government not to allow such activities to be conducted in the future.”

He said the Pakistani army was determined to defend Pakistan’s borders against the threat of terrorism, stressing that the sacrifices of brave soldiers further strengthen the resolve of the troops.
