North Melbourne ends Western Bulldogs’ unbeaten run as Jasmi Garner moves again for the KangaroosOUS News

North Melbourne jumped into the top eight and ended the Western Bulldogs’ unbeaten start to the AFLW season with a 15-point victory at the Punt Road Oval.

Jasmine Garner (26 disposes) was brilliant in the Kangaroos’ 6.7 (43) to 4.4 (28) victory.

He was surprisingly assisted by Jenna Bruton as the Kangaroos had the edge over the waning on-ball brigade of dogs.

Intercept marking from Katie Lynch and Isabella Grant in defense was a feature for the Bulldogs, while two goals from 17-year-old Riley Wilcox kept her side in the match, which was in balance for most of the afternoon.

The Kangaroos combined strength in the competition to quickly set the proceedings in a brutal manner, firing the first strike through half-forward Isabella Eddy, who smartly found the target in the opening 90 seconds.

The Dogs weathered an early storm, and Rocky Cranston went into an open goal, taking the lead in quarter-time.

Hard-running Irishwoman Vicki Wall found the target to start the second term, which for the most part was played on North’s terms.
