Led by Rosh Hashanah, the United Jewish Board of Education (UJEB) begins its annual “Meet the Beekeeper” morning held in the urban garden of the Beth Weisman Community Center. Chevra Honey’s Jonathan Landis brought a hive with bees, and over 25 curious kids learned all about where honey comes from, how bees make honey, and even the opportunity to taste fresh honey straight from the comb found.
“It is always wonderful to be able to bring community members, especially children, together on these occasions for Rosh Hashanah and the High Holy Days,” said Itzik Ztokman, UZEB Executive Principal.
