Nagpur, The cattle lumpi epidemic is spreading in the district. A few days ago, lump-like symptoms were found in 10-12 cattle in Savaner and Hingna tehsils. Now this epidemic has spread rapidly in the 13 tehsils of the district. Deputy Commissioner for Animal Promotion, Dr. Yuvraj Kane, reported that infected cattle have been found in 39 villages in the district and treatment has been started.

According to the report received on Friday, a total of 282 cattle have been victims of the lumpi infection. He also gave information on 130 of these disease-free. The vaccination campaign is also progressing rapidly in the district. A total of 95,801 cattle have been vaccinated so far. The district has received 1.60 vaccinations so far and an additional 1.50 lakh vaccinations have been required. We report that 3 cattle have died from this infection, but after that there is no news of any cattle death.

A vaccination campaign is being carried out in all the villages of Hingna, Savaner, Parshivani, Kamathi, Rural Nagpur, Mouda, Katol, Kalmeshwar, Narkhed, Ramtek, Umred and Bhiwapur, as well as in the affected villages. Dr. Kane has called on cattle owners to vaccinate his cattle. Upon seeing the symptoms of lumpi, immediately start treatment by giving information to the Gram Panchayat or Veterinary Hospital. Cattle are getting healthy with timely treatment.
