DAME Olivia Newton-John has died at the age of 73.
The British-born singer, best known for her starring role in the 1978 film Grease, in which she co-starred with John Travolta as Sandim, passed away ‘peacefully’ at her Southern California ranch surrounded by family and friends this morning.

Her husband John Easterling wrote on Instagram: “We ask everyone to respect the privacy of the family during this very difficult time.
“Olivia has been a symbol of triumph and hope for over 30 years as she speaks about her path to breast cancer.
“Her healing inspiration and pioneering expertise in plant medicine continues with the Olivia Newton-John Foundation’s foundation dedicated to plant medicine and cancer research.”
Mr. Easterling added that donations should be made to the Newton-John Foundation instead of flowers.
