NEW DELHI: Two people were killed and five others were seriously injured in the bloody violence that broke out during the Holi event at Mandka on the outskirts of capital Delhi on Wednesday. The deceased have been identified as Sonu and Naveen. Police have registered a case and started investigation. The Crime Branch and FSL team have also reached the spot and are investigating.

According to the Delhi Police, the police control room received three calls in the afternoon from the Friends Enclave of Mandka regarding attacks, assaults and deaths. Deputy Commissioner of Police, outer zone, Harinder K Singh said that a police team reached the spot and found that there was an argument between resident Sonu and Abhishek.

He said that Abhishek and his friends also stabbed Sonu and the people who were staying with him. After that they caught Abhishek and stabbed him. He said that these people were working in a salt factory located in Mandka area. The main motive of the attack has not been determined in the end.

According to police, a total of seven injured were taken to a nearby hospital, where Sonu and Naveen were declared brought dead, while Abhishek and another person were referred to Safdarjung Hospital with serious injuries. . He added that the condition of the remaining three is stable, and they are receiving treatment at a nearby hospital. The DCP said that crime and FSL teams have been sent to the spot and a case has been registered.
