The former secretary of the chief minister of Punjab, Muhammad Khan Bhatti has made shocking revelations in his statement admitting that he used to settle financial issues with Moonis Elahi at his house, 24NewsHD TV channel reported.

On March 2, police arrested former chief minister Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi Bhatti’s right-hand man from Quetta while he fled to Iran. Director General Anti-Corruption Punjab Sohail Zafar Chattha formed a four-member team to bring it back to Punjab.

Bhatti replied that he invested Rs100 million in Rahim Yar Khan Sugar Mills through Moonis.

He admitted that he made “money” worth millions of rupees in money with Moonis.

Bhatti revealed that he spent Rs 100 million in buying and selling cars.

When asked how more than 400 workers were recruited in the Punjab Assembly, he replied that Inayat Ullah Luk conducted the interviews and he had the authority to recruit them.

Meanwhile, the Anti-Corruption Establishment has found that Bhatti has assets worth millions of rupees. He owns a poultry farm in Lahore and a control tower. He also owns a kanal-sized house in Sukh Chain and another 7-marla house in Johar City, Lahore.

When ACE sleuths asked him how much money he had in his bank accounts, he said 40 million in his bank.

A case has been registered against Muhammad Khan Bhatti in the Anti-Corruption Agency for committing corruption of Rs800 million. He has been accused of attracting money through transfers and posts and taking commissions in development programs. Anti-Corruption Agency has already arrested XEN C&W Rana Iqbal.
